CRISIS PREPAREDNESS CZECH RED CROSS

Abstract

The Czech Red Cross has always been connected with the assistance
during the difficult, emergency and catastrophic situations in the Czech Republic.
To assure this, it is important to support and maintain so called emergency
preparedness of the Local Branches of Czech Red Cross. This paper answers the
question whether and how well these local branches of CRC are prepared to take
part during catastrophes. Methodology is based on analysis and description of the
crisis management of the Local Branches of Czech Red Cross in Olomouc region
by using a semi-structured interview.The outcome is the relevant data on the
emergency preparedness of respondents and the verified methodology for the
planned state-wide research.
