ENERGY, WATER, FOOD: POSSIBLE FUTURE SCENARIOS

Abstract

The article utilizes method of scenarios in order to reveal plausible causal
links between certain decisions in areas of energy, food, and water security. Miloš
Balabán shows the consequences of energy policy decisions, especially with regard
to nuclear energy development and renewable energy sources. The second
scenario, written by Libor Stejskal, illustrates the growing discrepancy between the
amount of water resources available and their use, with special focus on the
consequences of climate change. In the third scenario, Jan Ludvík uses the
example of food security to show the negative consequences of further deepening
and broadening of security.
