Abstract

Constructive simulation is basically focused on commanders and staffs
training from battalion level up. It has been used in the Centre of Simulation and
Training Technologies (CSTT) in Brno for more than ten years. The main purpose
of the constructive simulation is to reach a high level of decision-making process of
commanders for operations and to increase the quality of staff performance during
the conducting of the operation process. Recent developments in the field of synthetic
environment of the constructive simulation enhanced the qualities of the simulation
so that it enables to provide also other types of non-combatant operation training
(a rescue mission, a population protecting, object security, etc.). The first (pilot) CAX
(Computer Assisted Exercise) for policemen was conducted in the CSTT in January
2012. The goal of the CAX was to test capabilities and capacities of simulation
technologies for employment in the policemen training and to evaluate the efficiency
of such training. Results of the pilot exercise showed a new, modern and economic
direction of training of police staff in resolving of extensive security operations. This
is confirmed by positive feedback of trainees and members of the exercise staff.
