Abstract

The paper is focused on studying and finding out which security risks and crisis
situations occur or may occur in suburban areas, if it is possible to influence them and how.
There is also disused perception of those risks in local inhabitants. The main aim of the paper is
to present the results of research prepared in two suburban zones on the example of Prague
surroundings in Hostivice and Stochov whose are in the west part from Prague.
