METHODOLOGY OF THE PROJECT FIRESAFE AS UNIFYING STEP IN THE FIRE ENGINEERING APPLICATIONS

Abstract

The paper presents the principles of fire engineering assessment in accordance with
international standards (ISO) and describes how to implement those procedures into national
legislation and methodology for fire engineering applications. The methodology is the outcome
of the project FIRESAFE, which was solved within the framework of Security Research
Programme of the Czech Republic in the years 2010 - 2015. This paper is also a description of
the status of the various stakeholders that are involved in the preparation of fire engineering
solutions and the status of Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic. Finally, it commented
