The presented work is focused on leakage of petroleum substances and their impact on
the environment. Further, the thesis analyses the leakage of petroleum products in the Zlín
region. In order to illustrate this issue, the thesis presents own model situation focused on
petrol and diesel fuel leakage at the highly frequented intersection in Uherské Hradiště.
Contribution responds to the current changes in the legislation from the area of prevention of
major accidents
