Abstract

Today, security management is an important part of any business. The correct
approach to the safety management system will guarantee the operator, resp. owner, a safe and
functioning business. Indicators can be introduced into the safety management system to
identify all potential sources of risk. Properly set indicators with appropriate weights can
quantify the level of safety in the company and find potential sources of risk. Indicators should
be set for 6 pillars (ie physical safety, fire safety, health and safety, environmental safety,
operational safety, information safety). The mentioned security pillars comprehensively cover
the area of security within the company, the region, etc. By setting indicators, it is possible to
create a comprehensive tool for evaluating the safety management system.
