Abstract

A different approach to chemical and biological terrorism and
countermeasures in the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union and
in the Czech Republic. Chemical attack by chemical warfare agent (sarin) in Japan
in 1994 and 1995. Definition of chemical terrorism provided by chemical warfare
agents and hazardous chemical industrial toxic substances. A short description of the
Czech underground in Prague. The basic means of chemical terrorism and several
reasons why chemical terrorism is so easy to realize. A discussion about some of
consequences from chemical terrorism. Assessment of choice from hazardous
chemical toxic substances to prepare, organize and make chemical terrorist attack.
Conclusion with a stress on the full preparedness of both sides: rescue workers (such
as first responders) and the public.
