INFORMATION ON THE PUBLICATION OF THE BOOK "INDIVIDUAL AND COLLECTIVE PROTECTION"

Abstract

The ongoing war in Ukraine shows the relevance of the issue of population protection.
One of its main measures is individual and collective protection. A basic overview of this issue and knowledge of how to behave in the event of an emergency can save the life of an individual or help save the life and health of those around them. This knowledge includes the correct use of individual protection equipment that the state provides for designated groups of the population,
or can be purchased in specialized stores. An individual can replace these equipment with improvised protection, i.e. equipment available in every household. Their timely use will reduce the impact of an emergency on the population.
The authors of the published e-book entitled "Individual and Collective Protection" decided to offer this book to inform the general public and professionals about this issue. The above facts emphasize the importance and usefulness of the e-book as a comprehensive material in the field of "protection against the effects of the use or misuse of nuclear, radiological and chemical weapons and after radiation and chemical accidents".
