The humanitarian aid abroad after natural disasters is the integral part of
the foreign policy of the Czech Republic. According to the legislation the Ministry
of Interior in coalition with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs implement the tasks of
the Czech participation domain during the international rescue operations at
emergencies abroad. The paper describes the USAR, i.e. search and rescue, team
activities that after catastrophes operate in urban regions.
