RISK ASSESSMENT IN SUBURBAN ZONES

Abstract

The paper is focused on territorial risk assessment, mainly focused on
sub-urban zones. Different consequences of process of suburbanization are
possible to understand as well as opportunity or risk for operation and
development of the territory. The main aim of the paper is observe, if there exist
any risks in suburban territories and what types of those risks they are or should
be. The case study in suburban zone of city of Pardubice was created. In the paper
is described the suburban zone of Pardubice and the paper is mainly focused on
analysis of different types of risks. There follow the assessment of risks relevance.
The paper introduces the methodology in territorial risk assessment and combine
question of territorial security with urban planning themes.
