SAFETY OF AN AREA IN THE PERSPECTIVE OF URBAN PLANNING

Abstract

The mission of the paper is to analyze the current state of spatial planning
in the Czech Republic, focusing on area and its inhabitant’s security protection.
From the analysis of spatial planning instruments the planning analytical
materials appears to be the best one. That is why planning analytic materials are
deeper discussed on the level of municipalities with extended powers. They suppose
to identify and evaluate the status and development of the territory and to be one of
the sources for the acquisition of territorial planning documentation, especially
local plans and decisions in the area.
The target of this paper is to process and typologically analyze threats
and risks which significantly affect the safety of the area and suggest them the so
cold „map of regional risks“ based on analysis of specific planning analytic
materials for Polička micro region.
