In the summer of this year (2012) 35 years elapsed since the adoption of
Additional Protocol I to the Geneva Conventions of 12 August 1949 for the
Protection of Victims of International Armed Conflicts (Protocol I). The main
objective of the article is to introduce the possibility of using a unified warning and
notification system in the spirit of the Additional Protocol I to the Geneva
Conventions in international armed conflict. At the same time reflect important
legislative and other standards related to the Additional Protocol I.
