Aging is an essential phenomenon that affects the development of all developed
countries in the world. The Czech Republic is no exception. In our case, however, there is still
no detailed examination of how it manifests itself in the composition of perpetrators or victims
of crime. Similarly, the impact of aging on the personal and generational structure of the Czech
police is not sufficiently explored. The article consists of two thematic parts. The first part deals
with the phenomenon of population aging in relation to the status of seniors as offenders and
victims of crime. The second part deals with the effects of aging on the structure of the Police of
the Czech Republic. This paper does not aim to be an in-depth probe into the subjects. On the
contrary, its aim is to highlight these topics and stimulate further discussion.
