Biochemical method is appointed for detection of organophosphorus nerve agents
presence. It is based on choline esterases inhibition. It is group reaction, so it does not enable
selective differentiation of individualities. From chromogenic modifications is usually used
Ellman´s reaction, which is constituted for detection of developed thiol, which is presented by
color change. Using of mono or bispyridinium oximes can be the way how to differentiate
members of nerve agents.Their use is limited by application before dealkylation of enzymeinhibitor complex and afterwards by appropriate mathematical evaluation.
