In the state or during the emergency supply of drinking water to the population, it is
possible to use various technical means for water transport. The aim of the article is to point
out an unconventional method of water transport using a replacement pipeline. In the past, this
method was used mainly in the case of military conflicts for the transport of water (or fuel). It is
currently used only to provide drinking water in times of crisis or in places where it is necessary
to temporarily bring water to a dispensing point (cultural events, refugee camps, etc.).
