This paper handles the legal position of an emergency medical service worker with
focus on his/her responsibility for an occasional damage incurred while providing medical
services. The emergency medical service worker is daily exposed to high physical and mental
stress and people's lives often depend on his/her prompt decisions. A certain extent of
responsibility is associated with providing such an important service or occupation; such
responsibility may arise in both private and public law.
