Abstract

This paper focuses on particular major fires in history, to compare previous and
current legislation. The main aim is firstly to analyze and describe in detail the legal regulation
in relation to electronic fire alarm and central protection desk connected to the operational
centers of the Fire and Rescue Service of the Czech Republic. Secondly it compares this legal
regulations in relation to major fires while describing the pros and cons of particular legal
regulation while proposing the amendment to the Fire Protection Act.
