VISION OF PROSPECTIVE PROTECTION OF POPULATION

Abstract

Last two years are within Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic
focused on the preparation of ammendments ot the key Acts from the group of so
called „Crisis Management Acts“ which belongs to Ministry of Interior. After the
Crisis Management Act ammendment were initiated professional discussion about
the another key discipline from the security field – population protection.
Experience from the last several years (mainly with solving of major emergencies
and crisis situations) show that we should have a closer look on the definition of
population protection. This closer look should be new, moder and visionary. The
aim of this article is to initiate wide professional discussion on the definition of the
population protection and to inform audience with prepared new filosofic
conception.
